Description
Born in Cordova, Alaska in 1949, Ron Ekemo started Ekemo Bone Carvings after graduating from the University of Alaska. Demand for unique whalebone carvings and sculptures grew and today Ekemo works with a staff of fine artisans in many different media such as walrus jawbone, soapstone, alabaster and wood. Ekemo sculptures and carvings are owned and collected by many internationally notable personalities, museums and galleries.
